I think it's cool they're on the game and all, and I don't think I'd probably like them selling their image BUT check out the characters. A double necked guitat? a MOHAWK?

Holy shit. I've never been up on the video game world, but this is kind of disturbing.

I'm with you SDH. And to give you a bit of support, although I can't speak for all our British correspondents,to follow our witty, intellectual tradition of Chaucer, Marlowe,Shakespeare, Swift and Wilde:
WILL THE WANKERS WHO KEEP PROMOTING THE MAYKERS JUST FUCK OFF!!

The company was so impressed by the Maykers that they asked them to stand in for the Dead.

Thanks. But seriously, who in the Dead camp authorized or allowed this to be them? Not having played the game, do the bands change per song or do the characters stay uniform so that the same group plays Aerosmith as well as GD?

I don't know. My kids play Guitar Hero not Rock Band but I think the characters do stay the same in that one. I haven't seen any Dead, mostly bad classic Rock and Metal

"i thought greatful dead would be a metal band but i guess they would be´╗┐ called ungreatful dead in that case.. this band is weird but im getting to like em..."

It's not a bad way to introduce them to younger people that may never have heard the grateful dead and probably listen to shitty music. The thought of some little punk trying to play china cat and thinking "whoa this song is trippy" makes me smile, I have to say.

Hey, are you bashing? Better be careful lest you unleash the wrath of the gramatically challenged moral police.

You've been warned.

Yeah, bashing my head against the wall after finally breaking down and watching two minutes of a Maykers video of Run for the Roses to see whats up.

Well they do have a 'Donna' in the "band?".

What's that ringing? Did I get a call on my Moral Police Hotline? It's hot pink to begin with, so I can never tell when it's ringing...
